About
I spent 15 years training in and practicing Pathology, followed by nine years in hospital administration as a Chief Medical Officer and VP, Medical Affairs. Currently, I am a full-time faculty member in the Master of Health Administration program at Central Michigan University. In addition to my medical degree, I have an MBA with a focus in Health Care Management and a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) degree. Prior to medical school, I worked for nearly four years in a reproductive genetics research lab. My areas of interest in Pathology include Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Pathology as well as Microbiology. My doctoral dissertation involved a survey of community hospital disaster preparedness in New York State. I have published in wide ranging areas of the medical and healthcare literature, including prenatal diagnosis, hepatic pathology, renal physiology, disaster management, hospital administration, COVID-19, and genetics.
