About
I graduated from Medical School in Pakistan. Then trained in a combined Medicine and Pediatric residency program and specialized in adult Infectious Diseases in New York. I witnessed the first cases of HIV infection in NYC in the 1980s. On my return to Pakistan, I focused on HIV, not only in management but also issues of stigma and discrimination. I became passionate about Infection Control issues. At present, I am immersed in teh COVID pandemic like so many across the world.
