About
Katherine Martin, MD, has been a psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pa., since 2014. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of South Florida College of Medicine, LVHN’s academic affiliate. She is also Vice Chair for Education and Research.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and society from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, N.Y. Martin completed her residency in Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. She also completed a Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass.
Prior to becoming the psychiatry residency training director in June 2019, Martin was the director of the psychiatry clerkship for the USF-SELECT students. While serving in this role, she received an award for being the medical student faculty teacher of the year in psychiatry in 2017. Additionally, while under her leadership, the joint psychiatry and neurology clerkship was voted the best clerkship by the graduating USF-SELECT class in 2019.
