I am Amel Messaoud, a Tunisian Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor. During my thesis I studied biomarkers of vulnerability to suicide in patients with major depressive disorder. To meet this objective, I performed peripheral assays (biochemical and immunological) from patients and we identified, in association with psychiatric scales, those with high suicidal risk. The interpretation of results was carried out by statistical tests, such as principal component analysis, which allowed to identify a suicide risk area with good predictive value.
