After qualifying as doctor in 1988 (Dow Medical College) in Pakistan, I came to UK and did my training in GIM and Specialities over 5 years. I cleared MRCP exam in 1995. Then I successfully completed Diploma in Tropical Medine (DTM&H) from Liverpool UK in 1996 and MSc in Clinical Cardiology from Imperial College London in 1998. I wrote a dissertation on Diastolic Heart Failure. Then, I worked in Saudi Arabia for 4 years as GIM Consultant and served as Director of CME (Continuous medical Education) Centre, Cardiac Life support, and TB service. I was involved in managing Rift Valley Fever epidemic in Gizan SA, in 2000. I was awarded FRCP by Royal College of Physician London in 2018 and currently working as Consultant Physician in Watford General Teaching Hospital, UK. I am the Lead of DVT service and Clinical Governance. I have special interest in cardiac biomarkers and lead Chest Pain Working Group and developed Chest Pain Pathway.
