My main research interest lies in the field of nervous system injury and repair. My lab has active extramural research funding including a prestigious R01 award from the National Institutes of Health and numerous federal and foundation grants. I have a general neurosurgery practice and performs surgeries for complex spinal disorders, brain tumors, peripheral nerve disorders and he also treats patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and cerebrovascular diseases.
