About
Dan B Tran is currently a third-year medical student at the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California and graduated from UCLA in June 2018 with a Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in molecular, cell, and developmental Biology. During his undergraduate and medical school career, Dan has been passionately involved in research projects concerning cardiovascular health and disease, geriatric medicine, palliative/hospice care, and patient health/nutrition education.
Following medical school, Dan aims to pursue residency training in internal medicine with fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dan’s long-term career goal is to become a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist as well as a leader in community cardiovascular health and academic cardiology.
