Sandra Vermeulen MD, is a Radiation Oncologist at Swedish Cancer Institute and the Executive Director of the Swedish Radiosurgery Center in Seattle, Washington. Her primary practice is utilizing SRS /SBRT in the management of benign and malignant tumors of the CNS and body. Since 2006, Dr Vermeulen has been a lead investigator and is published in the treatment and management of DCIS and stage I breast cancer post lumpectomy using a stereotactic platform.
Dr. Vermeulen has served as a Seattle chapter past vice president to the American Cancer Society and board member to the Susan G Komen Foundation. She is a current board member on 2 international stereotactic societies, AERO and ISRA. She has been a guest lectures on several occasion in the USA and abroad, authored a book chapter and has over 50 peer review publication.
Dr. Vermeulens outside interests include fly-fishing, oil-painting, ornithology, biblical archaeology and hunting for dinosaur bones.
