I graduated from Duke University in 2003 with a BS in computer science. After spending 5 years in the US Army, first as a field artillery officer in Germany, then as an intelligence advisor in Iraq, I did two years of psychiatry research assistance at the VA in Durham, NC. This consisted primarily of clinical trials, and I also assisted with a group TBI psychoeducation study. I started medical school at Case in 2010.
