About

Jonathan,“Jon”, was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ to an Optometrist, his mother, and an Engineer, his father. After high school; balancing his curiosity, his drive, and his unyielding desire to care for others; he decided to attend The Pennsylvania State University where he pursued AFROTC, work as an EMT, as well as Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, he commissioned into the USAF as an officer. His first assignment was as a developmental engineer at the Los Angeles AFB in CA working for the Space and Missile Systems Center.

In the Military Satellite Communications directorate, he followed the mission to develop, acquire, deploy, and sustain space-enabled, war-winning, global communications to support national objectives. He was part of the team responsible for managing the United States’ satellite communications portfolio, valued over $42 billion. He worked specifically in the strategic SATCOM division providing next gen NC3 (Nuclear Command, Control and Communications) systems for the war fighter.

Although he excelled as a developmental engineer, his true calling was to care for others, something that never left far from him. A passion stemming from his upbringing, as well as his experience as an EMT. He aspired to follow his passion by becoming a physician. While a couple years passed during his first assignment, he was fortunate enough to get into medical school as well as obtain the U.S. Air Force’s Health Professions Scholarship (aka Air Force HPSP). With this acceptance, funding, and the green light from the USAF, he was able to follow his passion, which he currently does by attending The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Dothan, AL.

Hobbies for Jonathan include photography, guitar and fitness, but as a man with a diverse set of talents and an innate sense of curiosity who is afraid of complacency, this list is sure to grow as the years progress.
