About

My research focuses on neurosciences, neurosurgery & Rare Diseases, including cerebrovascular disease, neurooncology, and immunology. I have lead translational medicine centers and participated in Phase I-Phase IV trials as a researcher, manager, and regulatory Affairs officer for FDA, Office of Rare Diseases Research (ORDR) & National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) clinical trials.

The second focus of my research and practice is Translational Medicine, Bioethics and IRB operations. I have provided consultation on drug discovery, biotech, and CME/CE. I help ensure that the American Heart Association continues to provide high-quality, accredited continuing education (CME/CE) activities for healthcare professionals. Also, I like to constantly support JAMA Neurology, Elsevier Neurosurgery World, and Cureus Journals as an editorial reviewer.

I'm the recipient of an American Academy of Neurological and Orthopedic Surgeons 2016 (AANOS) award. In 2016, The President of Colombia (JMSantos) recognized the efforts in neurosciences and neurosurgery research with a "Presidential Letter" for the study of Gammaknife for the treatment of Primary CNS Lymphoma.
