About
I am a doctoral fellow in the Epidemiological Research Sciences doctoral program at UPCH, funded by the Emerging Diseases and Climate Change Research Unit (Emerge). In 2019, I was an Emerge fellow in the Epidemiological Research Sciences master program. In this way, I started in 2019 at Emerge full-time as a Research Assistant, along with my master's studies. This year I participated in Emerge as a co-investigator of a One Health project in the Peruvian Amazon, funded by the Peruvian Science Council (Concytec). On the other hand, I lead a project funded by Emerge, that aims to characterize molecularly the "tropical" and "temperate" lineages of the Rhipicephalus sanguineus group in our region. Finally, my activities include, active participation in ongoing projects (sample collection, survey application, laboratory analysis such as ELISA, IFAT and PCR), grant writing and supervision and mentoring of laboratory interns and undergraduate students.
