About

Dr. Nicholas B. Conway is an incoming obstetrics & gynecology resident at Rutgers University. He earned his medical degree from the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, graduating with a certificate and distinction in leadership. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Conway has a passion for education, mentorship, and innovation.

During medical school, he served in various leadership positions, including his class representative to the Association of American Medical Colleges and President of the medical school’s American Medical Association Chapter. He was an Admissions Committee Interviewer, Peer Tutor, and Medical Student Ambassador. Before matriculating into medical school, he was a Lead Teaching Assistant, teaching thousands of students in the laboratory setting. He was also invited as a guest lecturer in multiple didactic courses during this time.

Dr. Conway has been actively involved in various research projects throughout his education. His research has received multiple first-place poster awards, a national travel award, and a program committee's blue-ribbon pick. He has been invited nationally to speak on his research. His award-winning curricular research is now part of his medical school’s curriculum. In addition to his research, Dr. Conway served as Editor-in-Chief for the Florida Medical Student Research Journal, a peer-reviewed PubMed-indexed journal.

His significant contributions to his alma mater were recognized at the highest level as he was awarded the 2023 Outstanding Leadership Award for a Graduate Student and the Real Triumphs Graduate Presidential Commencement Award. The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology honored Dr. Conway with its 2022 Medical Student Award for Outstanding Achievement. He is also a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
