About
After post-graduation (Psychology), I started to work for people living with HIV/AIDS and actively involved in many awareness programs to sensitize society about this illness and to improve the quality of life of this population especially children and pregnant women. I completed M.Phil. and PhD degree in clinical psychology. In PhD program, I have for the first time developed a Home-based Intervention for Indian children with Specific Learning Disorder. I worked as Senior Research Fellow and Research Officer in many funded projects (Bipolar disorder and Prolonged grief disorder) and successfully accomplished two non-funded research projects as co-investigator on internet use in adolescents and cognitive impairment in children with inhalant use. I worked as Assistant professor at Department of clinical psychology, Central Institute of Psychiatry where along with teaching, research and clinical activities, I took an initiative and organized state and national level of workshop and seminar. I have delivered more than 30 academic presentations at national and international level and received many Awards/ Fellowships/Grant for academic excellence. I worked with adults and children with different psychopathology e.g. neuro-developmental disorder, substance and internet addiction, suicidal behaviour, common and severe mental disorders etc.
