Dr. Jakey Patwari has over 30 years of experience in the management of clinical trials at both the national and international levels. He has made substantial contributions to the conduct and management of numerous industry sponsored, NIH and investigator initiated clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas. He also has made significant contributions in many new drug and device development programs. During the COVID -19 pandemic crisis Dr. Patwari made significant contributions in COVID research. He worked in both preventive and curative fronts of the COVID treatment.

Dr. Patwari has been working as Administrative Director of Department of Clinical Research at Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC), Staten Island, New York since August 2019. He is responsible for day to day operation of clinical research activities at RUMC. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College (NYMC).

Before joining RUMC, Dr. Patwari worked as Senior Project Manager of United BioSource Corporation (UBC). He managed many national and multinational clinical trials for multiple drug companies.

Dr. Patwari worked for 3 years as an Executive Vice President and Head of Clinical Research operation at CarePoint Health Research Institute of CarePoint Health System. At CarePoint he worked as head of research operation of Hoboken University Medical Center, Bayonne Medical and Christ Hospital in New Jersey.

Dr. Patwari worked as a Vice President of Clinical Research at Frontage Clinical Services for 3 years. He was responsible for day to day operation of 120 beds, Phase I-IIa clinical research center, located at Hackensack, New Jersey. He was also responsible for management of all aspects of multicenter clinical research studies contracted by Frontage CRO.

Dr. Patwari worked as Director of the Institute for Clinical Research at Holy Name Hospital (HNH) in New Jersey for 5 years. He established a new research facility for HNH. During His tenure he built a huge portfolio of clinical research for the hospital and established a profitable clinical research business for Holy Name Hospital, and worked as secretary of Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Prior to working at Holy Name Hospital, NJ, Dr. Patwari was responsible for the operation of 20 multi-specialty clinical research sites for more than 7 years at Beth Israel Medical Center and its affiliated organizations.

Dr. Patwari worked as Research Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai Medical Center at NYC from 1990 to 1995. Working in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Department.

Dr. Patwari has authored dozens of national and international publications and written many newspaper articles on clinical research. He has been acting as a lead speaker in many research and teaching seminars in the USA, Bangladesh and other countries. He maintains dual certifications for both a Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) by the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), and a Fellow of Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research (FAPCR).
