Academic History
I obtained my PhD from the University of Cambridge, in Spinal Neurophysiology examining the role of spinal circuits in motor output generation. Currently at the University of Leeds as an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) conducting neurophysiological research in motor control and its applications in neurorobotics and rehabilitation. Have previously worked at Columbia University, NYC and the Spinal cord research centre in Winnipeg, Canada.

Research Interests
Elucidating the organisation of pathways for effective sensorimotor output generation, and the role of redundant pathways after injury. We have since been applying this knowledge towards improved rehabilitation, better simulations of the spinal circuits and their application to influence and improve neurorobotics and prosthetics. Along the way, we have been working on tools to improve the ability to capture and analyse the data as well.
