I am an interventional radiology fellow at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania. This is the first official IR fellowship program in sub-saharan Africa and I am one of the 3 pioneers of this program. My research work so far has been focused on establishing an interventional radiology fellowship program in a resource limited country as well as documenting the first experiences of this initiative. I intend to concentrate my research focus on Interventional Oncology in Africa and more specifically in Liver cancer directed therapies. I am a Rwandan by nationality and I intend to start Interventional radiology services as well as training in Rwanda very soon.
