Junior Resident and Post Graduate Trainee in Dept. of General Surgery, B.J. Medical College and
Hospital (July 2014- July 2017).
Worked dedicatedly in a 336-bedded General Surgical Unit (of the 2800-bedded hospital-Asia’s
Largest Hospital) with an average daily bed occupancy rate of 90-95%.
Attended rotatory residency and acquired essential skills in various sub specialties like Surgical
Gastro-Enterology, Urology, Head and Neck Oncology, Plastic Surgery etc.
Urology Residency training at MPUH, Nadiad, from March 2018 to September 2021, where
Micro PCNL and Micro-Mini PCNL were Invented.
Worked sincerely in the 150 bedded exclusive Nephro-Urological hospital with a bed occupancy
rate of 95 %.
Had a wide and varied exposure and hands on training in various aspects of Urology, viz, Stone
diseases, Uro-oncology, Renal Transplant, Stricture diseases and paediatric urology under Dr
Mahesh Desai and Dr Ravindra B Sabnis.
Underwent training in Renal Transplant unit of MPUH, with an average of 3 to 4 elective
transplants per week, besides the cadaveric transplants as and when available. Handling patients
attending the OPD every alternate day along with Operation theatre posting. Rendering
necessary surgical care and preparing inpatients for surgery.
Also doing laparoscopic living related donor nephrectomies and recipient surgeries as a part of
Renal Transplant team.
During residency, Assisted as bedside robotic surgeon in various robotic procedures viz., Robotic
Prostatectomy, Robotic cystectomy, Neobladder, Robotic Pyeloplasty, Robotic renal
transplantation surgeries.
Donor and Recipient Evaluation & Counselling for Renal Transplantation.
Took up responsibilities in the Trauma and Emergency Care Unit including emergency
resuscitation, assessing the need for emergent surgical treatment, and if so, preparing the patient
for emergency surgery. Assisted and performed a wide array of procedures in Trauma and Acute
Surgical Emergencies Under Consultant’s Guidance.
Clinical case demonstration and bed side clinical teaching for medical undergraduates.
Currently, performing laparoscopic nephrectomies, Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy,
Pyeloplasty, ureteric re-implants and Endourology procedures as Consultant Urologist
Academic programs - Symposia, clinical case discussion, journal club meetings and tumor
board discussion on a weekly basis.
Transplant meeting every week for case discussion and planning with Nephrology,
Anaesthesia and Ethical Team.
Attended and presented papers in Regional and state-level conferences conducted by
reputed professional organizations.
Dry and wet lab training, high fidelity model training in Johnson and Johnson, Ethicon and
JPAC, Nadiad.
