He was the chief epidemiologist of the city of Houston, Texas, the fourth largest city in the United States, where he implemented integrated disease surveillance systems along with other health informatics projects until July 2011. He served as the principal investigators for various Centers for Disease Control, and Department of Homeland Security collaborative projects in public health and public health informatics. He has an extensive quantitative research background in occupational, environmental, and chronic and infectious diseases, and public health experiences in Nigeria, England, and the United States. He has a number of publications and presentations on various health-related research projects.
