About

Dr Moien Khan is the chair of the Department of Family Medicine. He is a UK board-certified consultant in family medicine. Prior to working in the United Arab Emirates, Dr Khan has vast experience working as a consultant in family medicine and has been an associate medical director at his practice in England for the past five years. He has taught students from King's College, London and trained postgraduate residents in the United Kingdom. Dr Khan has a keen interest in the management of diabetes and obesity in the community.
His primary interest is healthcare management and medical leadership. His other interests include researching cardiometabolic disease, clinical pharmacology and improving clinical excellence, health care quality and clinical governance in healthcare organisations.
Apart from teaching medical students and postgraduate trainees in family medicine, Dr Khan works as a consultant physician in family medicine at ambulatory health services clinics. He also serves as a chief proctor for the Emirates Residency Entrance and speciality examination. He is also a clinical review investigator for the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi.
