About
I began my fellowship at the University of Washington in July of 1967 and have remained there ever since. Now, I no longer see patients but I maintain an office and status as a retired Professor. I am unusual among academic rheumatologists for having most of my scientific work in the general field of clinical physiology rather than Immunology. Principal work has been in gout, synovial microvasculature, and osteoarthritic pathophysiology.
