Born in Mexico city son of Mario and Astrid Salmon. Second of five children studied medicine at Anahuac University. After finishing med did a one year fellow for general surgery at Hospital Juarez de Mexico, then get into the National INstitute of Neurology and Neurosurgery where I finished training in Neurosurgery in 1993. After board certification I moved out from Mexico city to a town called Celaya in the state of Guanajuato, 140miles north from Mexico city. There I started the Neurosurgery service for the Celaya General Hospital. Since 2004 I´ve been incolved with spinal instrumentation and went to Austria in 2006 for a course with prof. Archilbald Von Strempel entering the world of spinal stabilization rather than fusion. Became FACS in 2010 and FAANS in 2012. Now dedicated to private and public practice in the city of Queretaro in Queretaro state Mexico.
