John Rolston received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Columbia University, followed by his M.D. and Ph.D. from Emory University. He is currently a resident in neurological surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. His research interests involve using electrical interfaces to study and treat neurological disorders, particularly epilepsy, and psychiatric disorders. He is also actively involved in the study of quality improvement and medical errors as they relate to neurosurgery.
