About

I have been in private practice first in LA with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group and for the past 23 years with Alliance Cancer Specialists outside Philadelphia. In addition to patient care, I am the oncology coordinator for the palliative care rotation mandatory for all PGY3s in the Chester Crozer Medical Center internal medicine training program focusing on the spiritual aspects of patient care. Early in my career I was the hematology oncology editor for a series of USMLE study books produced by Appleton & Lange. I work with high school students interested in a career in medicine through a program called Creative Education Opportunities. I speak regularly to groups in the community on the importance of cancer screening, specific malignancy and hematology issues, and the spiritual and legal aspects of the end of life. My passion has always been education whether one-on-one with my patients and residents, or before groups.
