Dr. Hynes is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Director of the Athletic Therapy Certificate Program at York University. Her PhD focused on the area of human biomechanics where she studied the concurrent injuries of whiplash and concussion. As an Athletic Therapist and educator, her research is focused on on-field concussion recognition, assessment and post-injury rehabilitation. She uses various forms of simulation to teach students how to identify concussion and the appropriate management and follow up for return to activities of daily living and sport.
