Involved in trauma , acute care surgery, general surgery for over 22years. Special interest in hemostatic resuscitation, rib fixation, geriatric trauma, process improvement, quality metrics and patient outcomes. Have been in academic education at a Level One trauma center with leadership positions and currently at a rural community hospital serving as Level III Trauma Medical Director . I have lectured on various traumatic issues and topics including challenges of rural trauma. Associate clinical professor for osteopathic medical students as well as Physician Assistant and Advance Nurse Practitioner students
