Dr. Samuel Dyer is the CEO of the Medical Science Liaison Society and has over 26 years of international experience in the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) profession. He has managed MSL teams and operations across more than 60 countries and has lived in 11 countries, leading pharmaceutical and medical device product launches for both Fortune 500 companies and biotechnology firms. Dr. Dyer holds an MD from Washington University (Health & Science) School of Medicine, a PhD in Health Sciences from Touro University, a Master’s degree in Tropical Biology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of the State of New York. He also completed a certificate program in Executive Leadership and Strategy in Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology at Harvard Business School. With extensive expertise in MSL training and development, Dr. Dyer has conducted training programs for over 75 pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in more than 15 countries. He has authored numerous articles, benchmark studies, and reports on the MSL profession and has been a keynote speaker and moderator at global conferences, addressing topics such as MSL management, training, utilization, effectiveness, and career development. Dr. Dyer is a recognized leader in the MSL field and has served as a consultant for organizations including McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company.
