Dr. Subodh Kumar, Ph.D. (Medical Biochemistry) is a Professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry at Dr. KNS Memorial Institute of Medical Sciences, Barabanki, Lucknow, India, with over 16 years of experience in undergraduate medical education. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, and an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from PMCH Patna (affiliated to Patna University)
His academic interests include clinical biochemistry, infectious disease biomarkers, metabolic disorders, laboratory diagnostics, and medical education. Dr. Kumar has published 16 research articles in indexed journals as per MCI/NMC criteria and has authored a book based on his doctoral research titled “Combating Pulmonary Tuberculosis: The Ginger Way” (LAP Lambert Academic Publishing). He has also contributed chapters to edited volumes in medical and pharmaceutical sciences.
Dr. Kumar is a Life Member of the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India and serves on the editorial boards of international medical journals. He has completed multiple faculty development programs, including MET, AETCOM, CISP, Biomedical Research training, and ACME.
