I am Salman Tahir, a specialist in fungal diseases (mycoses). My research focuses on how fungi invade hosts, evade immune responses, and trigger outbreaks. Using whole-genome sequencing and transcriptomics, I investigate fungal pathogenicity and mechanisms of antifungal resistance. By adopting a One Health approach, my work aims to enhance disease control, safeguard biodiversity, and address public health concerns, bridging the fields of medical mycology.
