Dr. S. Nizamudeen is an accomplished Unani physician, academician, and researcher with over 18 years of clinical and 16 years of teaching experience in Unani medicine. Currently serving as Associate Professor & Head, Department of Ilaj bit Tadbir at Government Unani Medical College, Chennai, he specializes in chronic disease management, cancer cell biology, infertility, and the integration of traditional therapies with modern biomedical approaches.
He is recognized for his significant contributions to research—leading projects in cancer cell biology, nanomedicine, regimenal therapies, and Unani drug validation. Dr. Nizamudeen has published more than 25 papers in reputable journals, contributed to books with international academic presses, and secured competitive research funding.
Dedicated to medical education, he is actively involved in curriculum development, guiding postgraduate students, organizing workshops, and leading community health initiatives including over 50 medical and outreach camps.
