Dr. Marlon Carbonell Gonzalez is a physician specialized in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, graduated from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana (2021). He has extensive hands-on experience in high-acuity Intensive Care Units and Emergency Departments at Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Miguel Enríquez in Havana, Cuba, where he managed critically ill adult patients with complex and life-threatening conditions, including septic shock, acute respiratory failure, COPD exacerbations, acute coronary syndromes, cardiovascular emergencies, and post-surgical complications. This solid clinical foundation has shaped his disciplined, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach to both clinical practice and academic work.

Dr. Carbonell holds Basic and Advanced Life Support certifications, including BLS, ACLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS). Since 2023, he has been based in the United States, preparing to pursue residency training in Internal Medicine with a focus on Critical Care, with particular interest in programs in New Jersey. He has successfully passed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK and is currently preparing for the OET and USMLE Step 3.
