As a Breast Imaging Radiologist at University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) with a strong background in both the academic and business side of health care, I believe the qualities, skills and experience you seek are well matched by my track record.

My breast imaging experience gives me the expertise to contribute to this project. I completed my Breast Imaging Fellowship at the University of Washington Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. I currently perform breast screening, diagnostics, and procedures (stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI guided biopsies). I am trained in the most up-to-date technologies in breast imaging (MRI, breast tomosynthesis, and automated whole breast ultrasound). I present and discuss complicated cases weekly at Breast Cancer Tumor Board Conferences with Oncologists, Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, and Pathologists.

My solid understanding of the business side of health care has given me the perspective that motivates me to efficiently allocate the limited resources of breast imaging technology and funding for the underserved population. I majored in Business Administration at the University of California Berkeley Walter A. Haas School of Business with a 3.85 GPA and graduated with high honors. Relevant coursework included financial accounting, finance, and marketing management.

My leadership roles in Academics include Program Director for Radiology Residency Program (designing curriculum, evaluating educational programs) and GAR (Gross Anatomy and Radiology) Course Co-Director (designing curriculum, evaluating educational programs). I am involved in the formal and informal education of medical students, residents, and fellows. I work on research projects with medical students, residents, and fellows for publication in medical journals.

Working on research projects in the past has given me experience and a strong foundation that I wish to build upon. My professional accomplishments include 14 PubMed peer reviewed journal publications. I was the recipient of the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award, 2012.
