Namath Hussain is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He did his Neurosurgery residency training and Complex Spine Fellowship training at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Previously he was a medical student at Johns Hopkins University, where he worked in the Hunterian Brain Tumor Lab founded by Harvey Cushing. He completed a minimally-invasive and complex spine surgery fellowship at Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, WA. Over the past decade, he has published more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and introduced readers to novel surgical approaches that incur less blood loss, newer imaging modalities that can diagnose diseases with better accuracy before surgery, and better methods and novel devices to promote bone fusion. He’s also studied overseas at Cambridge University in the UK. Originally from Diamond Bar, CA, he studied biomedical engineering at USC and earned a master’s in business administration from Arizona State University.
