Chencheng Xie, MD, FACP
Assistant Professor, University of South Dakota

Dr. Chencheng Xie is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Dakota and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). He earned his medical degree from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, completed his internal medicine residency at the University of South Dakota, and pursued an Advanced Hepatology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University, specializing in liver disease diagnosis and management.

Dr. Xie has a strong background in liver and cancer research, having conducted studies at the University of California, San Francisco as an exchange student and the University of Minnesota as a postdoctoral researcher. His work has been published in leading journals, including Molecular Cancer, Clinics in Liver Disease, Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology, Liver International, and The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology.

Actively engaged in mentoring, medical education, and peer review, Dr. Xie serves on editorial boards and has judged national conferences, including the American College of Physicians Annual Meeting. He has received the ACG/Radhika Srinivasan Gender-Based Research Award and has presented at ACG, DDW, and AASLD. A member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society.
