The only CLEAR Institute Board Member with peer-reviewed published scoliosis research practicing in the Carolinas. I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and spine rehabilitation clinician whose work centers on structural correction and conservative management of complex spinal disorders. My pre-clinical background includes national certification as a nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT, NMTCB) and CT technologist (ARRT(N)(CT), ARRT). Over the course of my career, I have focused on understanding how spinal alignment influences pain, function, and long term outcomes. My clinical practice and research are grounded in the belief that restoring biomechanical integrity is fundamental to durable recovery. Much of my work has examined cervical spine mechanics, particularly in patients with whiplash associated disorders and sagittal plane misalignment. I am especially interested in how loss of cervical lordosis affects load distribution, neuromuscular control, and chronic symptom development. Through radiographic analysis and longitudinal follow up, I study how structural rehabilitation can influence not only symptom resolution but measurable changes in spinal alignment. I also work with patients who present with scoliosis and other pre existing spinal asymmetries. These cases require careful biomechanical evaluation and individualized rehabilitation strategies. My research has explored how global spinal imbalance may alter cervical mechanics and how targeted structural correction can improve functional outcomes without surgical intervention. In recent years, I have become particularly engaged in investigating spinal injury and rehabilitation in vulnerable populations. This work reflects my broader interest in integrating precision imaging, functional outcome measures, and conservative structural protocols in settings where treatment options are often limited.
