About

Men with erectile dysfunction (ED) are treated with the drug Vilitra, which has vardenafil as its active component. It helps men get and sustain an erection by boosting blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. Vilitra is a member of the class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitors. Vilitra comes in tablet form in dosages between 20 and 60 milligrams. It should be taken as prescribed by a physician, usually one hour prior to engaging in sexual activity. Men should refrain from taking any other prescriptions to treat impotence without first visiting a doctor, as the medication is not meant for use by women. Flush, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, muscular soreness, upset stomach, nasal congestion, and rash are typical Vilitra side effects. Drinking alcohol while taking Vilitra is not advised as it may have negative effects. Vilitra should not be used by women or men who have low blood pressure, serious liver or cardiac issues, or who have recently had a heart attack or stroke. Additionally, it is not advised for males to use it in conjunction with nitrate-containing drugs since this combination may result in a severe reduction in blood pressure. Vilitra is sold under the brands Staxyn and Levitra.
