Ms. Alison Hoens is a Physical Therapy Knowledge Broker, a position jointly funded by the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, Providence Health Care Research Institute, Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia, and the University of British Columbia (UBC) Department of Physical Therapy. She is also a Clinical Professor in the UBC Department of Physical Therapy.

Ms. Hoens received her B.Sc. in Physical Therapy from UBC and her postgraduate degrees (M.Sc. and DipSportsPT) from Curtin University in Perth, Australia. In addition, she has specialized training in knowledge translation and facilitating behaviour change. Ms. Hoens has undertaken clinical, teaching, and research activities in physical therapy and interdisciplinary spheres provincially, nationally, and internationally.
