Dr. George Loss received his AB from Dartmouth College, his MD from the University of Arkansas, and a Ph.D in Immunology from the University of Chicago. He completed a residency in general surgery and his fellowship training in multi-organ abdominal transplant surgery at the University of Chicago. He joined Ochsner in 1998 and has served as the Director of the Pancreas Transplant Program and is the Medical Director of the Ochsner Transplant Unit. Dr. Loss was appointed as Section Head of Ochsner's Abdominal Organ Transplant Dept. in August 2005.
