Luís Nogueira-Silva is a consultant at the Internal Medicine Department of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João, Porto, where he belongs to the Hypertension clinic since 2010. His clinical activity is broad mas mainly focused in cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. He is a researcher at the Center for Health Technology and Services Research (CINTESIS) and belongs to the Patient Centered Innovation and Technologies (PaCeIT) group. He is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, in several disciplines and courses. He was the co-supervisor of a Master degree thesis in Medicine, received a grant as Principal Investigator for a research project published over 20 articles in specialized journals, participates in national and international meetings (namely as speaker) and received 2 awards. His main areas of interest are Cardiovascular diseases (Hypertension, Resistant hypertension, Cardiovascular risk, Secondary hypertension) and Respiratory diseases (Asthma, Allergic rhinitis), with a particular interest in Non pharmacological treatment, Adherence to treatment and Mobile health.
