Eric Chun Pu Chu DC, PhD is an award-winning entrepreneur, innovator, and scholar. He was educated at the Queen's University, Canada and completed a Doctorate in Chiropractic at the New York Chiropractic College. After working as a community chiropractor in Vancouver, he returned to Hong Kong in 2004 to pursue an entrepreneur career.
He is the founder of New York Medical Group (NYMG) and co-owner/ Chief Business Officer of EC Healthcare (2138.hk), and leads the top management in medical companies along their entire value chain. He guided on healthcare M&A and performance transformations. He drives the improvement of patient outcomes through insights into consumer behaviors, beliefs, and needs.
Eric is an expert in innovative care delivery models and is heavily involved in developing NYMG’s thinking on how healthcare systems can tackle future challenges. He set up the core referral operations engine for a multiprofessional carrier through a health consultant channel, including talent acquisition, retention and training, sales support, proposal delivery, pipeline management, and other cross-industry tools.
Dr Chu was tabled as the top research author in chiropractic profession as he has first-authored over 70 journal papers with a h-index of 22 (google scholar). His clinical cases were selected as BMJ's Editor's Choice and Oxford's Key Case Report. He is the chairman of Chiropractic Doctors Association of Hong Kong and Advisory Peer Group of the Open University of Hong Kong. His leadership has received numerous awards and honorary degree from government departments, universities, and global NGOs.
