Medical student at Universidad Libre (Cali, Colombia) working at the intersection of internal medicine, infectious diseases, gastroenterology and clinical research. Member of the Interinstitutional Internal Medicine Research Group (GIMI-1, COL0048759), a MinCiencias category B group endorsed by Universidad Libre de Colombia and Clínica Imbanaco. Vice President (2026-2027) and former Coordinator of the Infectious Diseases Committee of the Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG-UL), which works alongside the Colombia Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the Colombian Association of Internal Medicine (ACMI). My work centres on research across the subspecialties of internal medicine, with a particular interest in infectious diseases, gastroenterology, preventive medicine and epidemiology. Founder of UrreAI (urreai.com), an AI-supported study platform for health sciences students. A substantial part of my work involves artificial intelligence applied to healthcare: clinical study tools, AI-assisted evidence synthesis and reproducible research workflows. Academic interests: clinical microbiology, diagnostic reasoning and evidence synthesis. I also teach: microbiology and pathology tutor, and lead instructor of an independent Medical Microbiology course for health sciences students.
