Abstract
Transcranial MR-guided focused ultrasound has had preliminary success treating neuropathic pain, essential tremor, and Parkinson’s Disease. FUS is able to deliver focal, thalamic target ablation for the treatment of these conditions, however there is interest in more peripheral targets in order to treat conditions such as epilepsy, OCD, and brain tumors.
Presented here is a 3D treatment envelope map that provides a first-order estimate of the volume of the brain throughout which the current FUS brain system is able to deliver focal, ablative energies
