Not All Healthcare Professionals Should Have the Right to Refuse to Deliver Medical Care

Abstract

This research paper investigates a few reasons why not all health care professionals should be permitted to have the right to refuse to deliver medical care. The failure of some health care professionals to provide logical reasons for their objections to provide medical care, and their misuse of the refusal right are some of the reasons why not all health care professionals should have the right to refuse to deliver medical care. Overall five academic articles and several other credible sources were used in the research. This research revealed the negative effects of the broadness of the refusal clauses. There remains a need to further revise the current refusal clauses, and establish new, effective ones that have a clear and definite meaning.
