Abstract
Acute scrotal pain is a common complaint in the emergency department. The use of color-Doppler ultrasonography helps differentiate benign from emergent causes of testicular pain. Testicular torsion is a fertility-threatening surgical emergency. As such, manual detorsion may be attempted to restore blood flow to the affected testicle.
Case of a 33 y/o male with PMHX of hydrocele in the left testicle who presented to the ED due to left testicular pain that radiated to the left lower quadrant, left testicular/scrotal swelling, and vomiting.
