Abstract
The patient presented with behavioral changes and lower back pain with incontinence within two years of radical nephrectomy. Appropriate surveillance following radical nephrectomy of localized RCC would have indicated chest, abdominal imaging, and brain imaging. Tumor burden and prognosis would have likely been much improved if metastasis of RCC was made evident when symptoms first appeared. This highlights the importance of PCP physicians being made aware of appropriate RCC surveillance.
