Erythrodermic Psoriasis After COVID-19 Infection and Corticosteroid Administration

Abstract

Erythrodermic psoriasis is a rare emergent condition with multifactorial triggers. Treatment regimens have evolved to elevate symptoms quickly, providing patients with relief and regression. The progression from pustular psoriasis to erythrodermic psoriasis occurred in days. Triggers such as COVID-19 infection, systemic steroids, and comorbid conditions like obesity and type two diabetes could be identified before progression, and steps could be taken to avoid or stratify risk-preventing occurrence.
