Dr. Kam is an Associate Professor and Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician at McMaster University with a Masters of Public Health, and is the current Director of Research and Quality for the division of PEM. She sits on the Specialty committee and the Exam sub-committee for the Emergency Medicine program at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is an active faculty for BEEM (Best Evidence in Emergency Medicine). She has an interest in developing patient safety and quality improvement both at a national and global level. Dr. Kam is the Pediatric track lead for the international conference Developing Emergency Medicine. She is a founding faculty of the McMaster Pediatric Global Quality Improvement and Patient Safety initiative and has taught QIPS in India, Singapore and Guyana.
