I have a background in molecular biology (BSc. Genetics, Edinburgh University) which included research on signal transduction pathways in the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum.
Following this, I entered the clinical environment as a Registered Nurse. I currently work in Urgent Care and Aged Care (including dementia) in a hospital in rural Australia. I enrolled in Medical School in 2020 with a career goal of becoming a rural physician, and to pursue medical research in the field of gerontology with a focus on dementia.
