Dr. Yoichi Morofuji is a chief neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery, National Nagasaki Medical Center, Nagasaki, Japan. He obtained his MD and PhD degrees at the Nagasaki University. He worked as a senior fellow at the University of Washington, USA. Dr. Morofuji’s practice specializes in the microsurgical and endovascular treatments of aneurysms, AVMs, dural AVFs, stroke, carotid artery stenosis, and brain tumor. He is passionate about basic/translational research, focusing on blood-brain barrier. He has been Principal Investigator on several basic international research projects.
