I specialize in clinical and transitional research trials as well as the multidisciplinary, comprehensive care of patients suffering from gastrointestinal malignancies, with particular emphasis in precision oncology, pancreatic, hepatobiliary, colorectal, upper digestive, GIST, adrenal and neuroendocrine cancers (including PNET, pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma). 

Using CTCA's state-of-the-art, evidence-based and patient-centered approach, I integrate next-generation personalized molecular diagnostics, immunotherapy, comorbidity, previous therapies and the patient's overall status into decision making for optimal outcomes. I also provide expert second opinions (locally and internationally), clinical trial guidance, as well as recommendations regarding personalized cancer genomics, and the concomitant use of complementary medicine and integrative oncology measures.

Description of Research Expertise

Phase I/III trials in gastrointestinal malignancies, with emphasis in new targeted therapies, novel molecules and immunotherapy, tailored to specific tumor type, its genomics and tumor biomarker/genetic information from CTCA's Center for Advanced Individualized Medicine. I am principal and co-investigator of multiple studies, including active participation at the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG).
